Miller Outdoor Theatre - 42nd Street
Published by Alan Yu on Sunday, July 12, 2009Last night the girlfriend and I went to check out the performance of 42nd Street at Miller Outdoor Theatre. Upon getting there, the first reaction was wow...there's a lot of people here. The last time I was here there were hardly as many people (see post about Beauty and the Beast). Previously, we got into the actual covered area and there were only a few people with lawn chairs on the lawn. This time around it seems that everyone came out and brought lawn chairs and picnics. We weren't any different with our sandwiches (from Carli's in Midtown) and a few beers. Plopped down at one of the scarce open spots on the grass and snapped off the shot below since there was nice light from the setting sun. I'm glad that Houstonians take advantage of free events such as these. Theatre Under the Stars puts on great shows with Broadway caliber talent. Check out www.milleroutdoortheatre.com for info on future shows. You'll probably see me at them!
I have 4 versions of the same shot as I was experimenting with different processing. Let me know what you think is best to your eye.
